What We Believe
“We believe life is found in abiding in Jesus—remaining in Him, walking with Him, and bearing fruit that reflects Him.”
We believe the Bible is God’s Word, fully true and trustworthy. We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and that salvation is found only through Jesus Christ, who died and rose again to redeem us from sin. We believe that all who trust in Him are forgiven, made new, and called to follow Him. We believe the Church exists to make disciples, that baptism and the Lord’s Supper are acts of obedience, and that Jesus will return to judge the world and establish His eternal kingdom.
As a church, we affirm the Baptist Faith & Message (2000).
The Bible
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired, inerrant Word and the final authority for truth, faith, and life. Through it, God reveals Himself and invites us into a relationship with Him.
Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:105; Matthew 5:18; John 17:3
God
We believe there is one true and living God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—perfect in holiness, love, justice, and power. He created us in His image to know Him and walk with Him.
Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Genesis 1:26–27; 1 John 4:8
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again, making a way for us to be forgiven and restored to God. He now reigns as Lord and calls us to follow Him and abide in Him daily.
Scripture: John 1:1–14; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Acts 1:9–11; John 14:6; John 15:4–5
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit lives within every believer, guiding, strengthening, and transforming us to become more like Jesus. He produces a life marked by obedience and spiritual fruit.
Scripture: John 14:16–17; Romans 8:9–11; Galatians 5:22–23; Philippians 2:13
Sin & Salvation
We believe all people have sinned and are separated from God, but through Jesus Christ, forgiveness and new life are freely offered. Salvation is God’s gift, not something we can earn.
Scripture: Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; John 3:16; Romans 5:8; Ephesians 2:8–9
Salvation & Abiding in Christ
We believe that when a person turns from sin and trusts in Jesus, they are made new and invited into a daily relationship with Him. As we abide in Christ, our lives are transformed and we begin to reflect His character.
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17; John 1:12–13; John 15:4–5, 8; Colossians 2:6
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers, called to abide in Jesus, love one another, and make disciples of all nations.
Scripture: Ephesians 1:22–23; Colossians 1:18; Matthew 28:19–20; John 13:34–35; Acts 1:8
Baptism & The Lord’s Supper
We believe baptism by immersion is a public declaration of new life in Christ, and the Lord’s Supper is a remembrance of His sacrifice and our ongoing dependence on Him.
Scripture: Romans 6:3–4; Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26
Mission & the Christian Life
We believe every believer is called to live on mission, representing Christ in the world through obedience, love, and the sharing of the gospel.
Scripture: 1 Peter 2:9; Matthew 5:13–16; Acts 13:1–3
The Family
We believe the family is God’s design for human relationships and a place where love, faith, and growth are meant to flourish. Marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and children are a gift from God to be raised in His ways.
Scripture: Genesis 2:24; Deuteronomy 6:4–7; Psalm 127:3; Proverbs 22:6; Ephesians 5:22–33; Ephesians 6:1–4
Last Things
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly. There will be a final judgment, and all people will spend eternity either with God or separated from Him.
Scripture: Acts 1:11; Revelation 22:12; Hebrews 9:27; Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:11–15
